Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati while on his countywide inspection of the on-going road repairs in Webuye East and West constituencies and other parts of the county, assured that all is well for the works now that rains are low.
In the company of area MCAs Paul Wanyoike of Matulo, ‘Investor’ Martin Wanyonyi of Ndivisi, Violet of Mihuu wards and his roads Minister Collins Mukhongo, the Governor affirmed that works have re-started and in due cause, all roads in the county will be passable.
Speaking at Lugusi market Mihuu ward of Webuye East constituency, Governor Wangamati affirmed that between September and December this year all roads in Bungoma county will be done within the first face that had been earmarked.
“With the due offer of the rain calamities that has havocked not only this county of mine Bungoma but with the entire nation and the world at large, I plead for patience from Bungoma residents”, he said.
He added that the Misikhu/ Brigadier road construction which had stalled earlier has now kicked off at his concerned intervention.
He affirmed to locals that after it’s completion, he has plans for the tarmacking of the road from Lugulu market via Lugusi market connecting the Misikhu/ Brigadier Tarmac.
The MCAs accompanying him supported him fully in his plans to make Bungoma roads passable.
